Explores: Jurassic Encounter 2022, Bristol

What can possibly enhance the beautiful colours of autumn at the Ashton Court estate on the edge of Bristol? Why a huge array of moving, roaring dinosaurs of course! 🦖

On until the 30th of October (next Sunday – you don’t have long!) the dinos vary in size and species so you’ll hopefully spot your favourite! Things you need to know:

🎟 Advanced ticket prices: Adult £13.40, Children (3+) and Concessions £11.26, Family ticket £42. You can buy discounted tickets on Groupon (£9pp) or it’ll cost even more on the door.

⏰ It took my toddler and I around 45 minutes to view all of the dinosaurs, but I imagine it could take longer on a busy day/if you have a dino super fan in your group. I didn’t have the pram but the whole site was accessible.

👠 Don’t wear fancy shoes, wellies recommended! It was dry when we visited, but there was still a fair bit of mud. We did around 5,000 steps inc parking at Church Lodge.

đźš™ Apparently last weekend parking was chaotic, so I was a little anxious. Thankfully we had no issue (weekday, pre half term etc) but if you are planning to a visit this week public transport, parking further away and walking or a super late/early visit sounds might be sensible. Mornings are apparently busiest!

🍔 There are a number of street food vendors (think burgers, noodles, doughnuts and hot chocolate) plus the usual cafe (which houses the only toilets I could see) if you forget snacks.

♿️ The site is accessible for prams and wheelchairs, just make sure if you’re parking at the mansion car park (which is nearest to the JE entrance), you walk to the right of the mansion to avoid the steps.

My daughter and I received our tickets free of charge in return for our review but hopefully you’ll agree this has been written without bias. If you have any other questions about our visit that might help you plan yours, please do comment or drop me an email and I’ll do my best to assist.

Have a great weekend 🙌🏻

Lizzie xx
