Afternoon Tea Review 🧁🥂 How do you get someone that’s avoided Brie her whole life to try it? Stuff it in a croissant and chuck in a sea view and a glass of bubbles! 😅

The verdict? On Brie – I still wouldn’t order by choice, but I’d certainly eat it again. On the afternoon tea? The best I’ve tried locally! 🎉 Super fresh sarnies (hate crusty edges!), the cakes were all fabulous (there’s usually something I don’t like) and love that if you didn’t fancy fizz you cook have an Espresso or Pornstar Martini! We had:

If I’m to criticise anything it’s that I prefer raspberry jam so would have liked a choice, but that’s personal preference. I also didn’t try the chocolate cake myself (yup, lentils) but it had B approval 😋 The venue itself was lovely, with floor to ceiling windows giving views of Weston seafront. It was bright and inviting inside, despite being utterly grey and miserable out!

Staff were very friendly and accommodating to Bea’s needs. They also assured me all dietary requirements can be catered for with advanced notice (inc gluten free). Dogs are permitted if you’d like to bring you pooch, but only in the downstairs bar 🐶 and finally venue is pram and wheelchair friendly, with a lift to access the main restaurant.

We’ve long been fans of the @bistrotpierre in Mumbles, this was my first visit to the Weston restaurant but I’d happily return. In my view they’re one of the best ‘upmarket’ chains, with great value (love their kids & set menus!) in a beautiful setting. We will return!
